“It’s A Beautiful Life” was recorded at the start of 2009.
The album was actual inspired by the movie “It’s a wonderful life” A Christmas classic about second chances and what’s truly important in life. This album marked another first as far as lyrics. I had never actually written a “Concept” album before. It’s a tricky process of making each song lyrically relevant to the next to weave your way through the story and yet not change up the mood that you wish to create for the listener. A bit more time was spent on this album. More production was used so I could create a wider scope of moods from one song to the next. In addition to the album sounding cleaner I also played a few more instruments. Simple drums were added here and there. I wanted to create something different and challenge myself yet again. Some of my proudest moments in my musical journey are on this album. It still has the charm and grit of the first album but in some ways is a bit more lush and clean. It’s a different journey then the first. As an album should be. ENJOY!
